Expanded Transportation Program
Veterans Ride Free
Need a ride? Livingston County Veteran Services can help get you there. We’ve expanded our Transportation Program to get our veterans out to grocery shop, pick up prescriptions, pay bills, get to work, take part in recreational or senior programs, and much more.
To Schedule A Ride:
- A passenger must provide a DD Form 214 showing an “Honorable” discharge to LCVS prior to scheduling their first ride.
- To schedule your ride, call LETS at (517) 546-6600. When you reach a Dispatcher, mention your veteran status.
- Non-medical rides within the county can be scheduled up to one week in advance.
- Rides for medical appointments within a 50-mile radius of the LCVS office can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance of the appointment.
We’re excited to offer this proactive and community-focused response to a growing transportation need. We’re hopeful that the expansion of rides provides veterans and their families with flexibility and signifigantly increases their quality of life.
