Children between the ages of 12 – 17 years old are required to possess a snowmobile certificate anytime they are operating a snowmobile in the State of Michigan, unless they are on their parent’s private property.

 

How to Register for a Class

  • Contact your Community Education Office to register for a class.
  • Classes are for adults and children, between the ages of 12-17. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
  • They must complete both days of the training to receive the certificate. This certificate is required for children between the ages of 12-17 to ride snowmobiles off parent’s private property, or any State Trail.
