What is a Master Plan?
A Master Plan is a community’s blueprint for the future. It is a comprehensive document that examines land use, transportation, infrastructure, natural resources, housing, economic development, agriculture, and other key elements of the community. Master plans include long-range goals and objectives for development for the next 10-20 years.

2025 Master Plan Update
In 2023, the County began the process to update this important document. This project will take place over a significant portion of 2024, with numerous opportunities for community input.

Current Master Plan
The County last updated its Master Plan in 2018. The resulting 2018 Livingston County Master Plan has since served as a guide for ordinance amendments and land use discussions.
