The Livingston County District Court is searching for a Law Clerk/Attorney Magistrate to assist the 53rd District Court. The Law Clerk/Attorney Magistrate assists the Court with daily operations, performs legal research and drafts opinions as directed. The position also serves as an on-call Magistrate, adjudicating civil infractions, conducting arraignments, sentencing charges, and disposing of minor offenses prior to trial as provided by applicable statutes and court rules.
The Law Clerk/Attorney Magistrate is a full-time, non-union position with starting pay of $66,164.00 per year and is eligible for annual step pay increases in alignment with the established wage scale.
