Administrative Aide - Prosecutor's Office

The Administrative Aide-Prosecutor’s Office is a full-time, non-union position with starting pay of $19.37 per hour, eligible for annual step increases according to wage schedule. Animal Shelter Veterinarian

Corrections Officer - Jail
If you are interested in a career in criminal justice, Livingston County has positions open to join its Sheriff’s office as a Corrections Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for all inmate activities such as inmate booking, transportation and visitation, basic security and electronic monitoring of the entire jail facility.
The Corrections Officer is a union position with starting pay of $43,400.66/year and is eligible for the County’s comprehensive benefit plan: BCBS medical, pharmacy, dental and vision; retirement options including a hybrid pension plan which includes a defined benefit and 401a, a MERS Health Savings Account funded by the County, and an optional 457 Deferred Compensation plan; EAP; $500 Wellness Reimbursement/$100 Annual Physical Incentive; generous paid vacation, sick days and holidays; and much more.

Custodian
We have a few openings for people to join our wonderful custodial staff. This part-time position is what keeps the County running cleanly and safely every day!
This is a non-union, part-time position with starting pay of $16.84 per hour, eligible for step pay increases per the established wage scale. The position is 19 hours per week and the best part is that your shift is flexible – you choose early morning or afternoon! 4-hour shifts Monday – Thursday and 3 hours on Friday. No weekends. The position is also eligible for the County’s optional 457 Deferred Compensation plan, EAP, and $300 Wellness Reimbursement/$100 Physical Health Assessment. To qualify you need only a diploma or GED, and one year of cleaning or building maintenance experience, although the County may consider alternative combinations at their discretion. Director of Personal Preventive Health Services / Deputy Health Officer
We are seeking a highly qualified registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing, public health, or a related field with prior supervisory and management experience in public health to manage the Personal Preventive Health Services division of the Livingston County Health Department. This role is responsible for planning, promoting, organizing, directing, and evaluating a comprehensive program of public health nursing services. This position also assumes the role of the Health Officer in their absence.
This is a full-time, non-union position with starting pay of $99,654.73 per year, eligible for annual step increases within the published wage scale. The successful candidate will also receive the County’s comprehensive benefits package including BCBS medical and pharmacy; dental and vision; retirement plan options with up to 8% employer contribution; tuition reimbursement; EAP; voluntary insurance plans; 13 paid holidays and time off – with rollover; up to $600 wellness and physical health reimbursements and much more.

Maintenance Supervisor - Facility Services
Our Facility Services department is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of hard workers dedicated to performing a variety of preventive and repair duties on County buildings, facilities, and equipment. The successful candidate will have education/experience in building maintenance, HVAC or related field and experience as a maintenance worker or lead worker, with the ability to supervise the work of others.
This is a full-time, non-union position with starting pay of $29.11 per hour with eligibility for step pay increases per the established wage scale. The position is also provided with the County’s fantastic benefit program which includes BCBS medical, pharmacy, dental and vision. Retirement plan with up to an 8% employer contribution. Paramedic
Livingston County EMS is looking for Paramedics to join our expanding team. The County EMS team provides both 911 EMS and non-emergency transportation throughout Livingston County’s 584 square miles, including 48 miles of highway, with a population approaching 196,000.
Paramedic is a union position with starting pay of $21.32 per hour, with credit given for experience and eligibility for annual step pay increases within the union wage scale. The Circuit Court Clerk is offering internships to students interested in stepping into the judicial system and seeing what the inside processes look like. Our Health Department is recruiting medical and non-medical persons to serve in the Medical Reserve Corps, a group prepared to react in the event of a public health emergency. Veterans Services has a great mentorship program where a volunteer mentor provides support and guidance to a veteran as they progress through Veteran Treatment Court. None of these programs succeed without you!
