Corrections Officer - Jail

The successful candidate will be responsible for all inmate activities such as inmate booking, transportation and visitation, basic security and electronic monitoring of the entire jail facility.

Court Security Officer
If you are interested in a career in criminal justice, Livingston County Courts are looking for a Court Security Officer to round out its team. Responsible for judicial security, courtroom security, building security, and ancillary support security, the Court Security Officer may be assigned to perform court security and bailiff duties at any Court facility as well as the Law Center.

County Administrator
Livingston County is conducting a search for its next County Administrator. Under the direction of the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator is responsible for the overall management of the County. The position oversees the development and administration of County departments and operations, prepares and presents annual budget recommendations to the Board, and ensures that daily operations are compliant with sound governmental practice and consistent with Board policy. The County Administrator also assists the Board of Commissioners in developing the vision for the County as well as implements strategies and programs for realizing goals, objectives and outcomes.

Court Services Deputy (Part-Time)

The Court Services Deputy is a member of the Court Security Unit of the Sheriff’s Office and as a court security officer or bailiff is responsible for courtroom and/or building security, as well as providing a safe environment for the courts, citizens, and employees in the various facilities. This position is a part-time, non-union position with starting pay of $20.82 per hour. As a part time employee, you are eligible for the County’s optional 457 Deferred Compensation retirement plan, the EAP, and the $300 wellness reimbursement/$100 annual physical incentive.

Custodian (PT-19 hours)
We have a few openings for people to join our wonderful custodial staff. This part-time position is what keeps the County running cleanly and safely every day!
This is a non-union, part-time position with starting pay of $16.84 per hour. The position is 19 hours per week and the best part is that your shift is flexible – you choose early morning or afternoon! 4 hour shifts Monday – Thursday and 3 hours on Friday. No weekends. The position is also eligible for the County’s optional 457 Deferred Compensation plan, EAP, and $300 Wellness Reimbursement/$100 Physical Health Assessment.

The 53rd District Court is looking for a Deputy Court Clerk to assist in the processing of traffic, civil and/or criminal cases at the Court. Duties in this rule include counter service, typing court documents, and reviewing/filing documents.

Medical Examiner Investigator
The Livingston County Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking a Medical Examiner Investigator to add to their team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of investigative principles, forensic practices and processes, scene safety and management, necessary equipment use and applicable laws and regulations.
This is a part-time, on-call position paid at an hourly rate of $33.25 for each call in. Calls are estimated at approximately 15-20 per month, and shifts include nights and weekends. Our Health Department is recruiting medical and non-medical persons to serve in the Medical Reserve Corps, a group prepared to react in the event of a public health emergency. Veterans Services has a great mentorship program where a volunteer mentor provides support and guidance to a veteran as they progress through Veteran Treatment Court. None of these programs succeed without you!
