If your insurance pays for vaccinations, please call your insurance company prior to arriving to the clinic to find out if you can be reimbursed when you receive your vaccines at LCHD. LCHD may not be a participating provider for some insurance companies, so it is important that you tell them you are receiving the vaccines at the health department. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to determine if the insurance company will reimburse you when you receive vaccinations at the Livingston County Health Department. LCHD will give you the correct forms to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
Immunization Waivers
Effective January 1, 2015, changes to the school rules now require parents/guardians of preschool/daycare, kindergarten, and 7th grade students and new school entrants who wish to waive or delay immunizations for their child(ren) to receive education from the local health department prior to obtaining a certified waiver. Waiver education sessions are by appointment only and spaces are limited.
