Medical Reserve Corps
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of more than 300,000 volunteers. The Livingston MRC is one of 800 teams across the nation. The intention of the MRC program is to help coordinate volunteer activities to make our communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to any emergency.
The mission of the Livingston MRC is to engage and retain both medical and non-medical volunteers in an effort to strengthen public health, emergency response, and support community resilience. The goal of our MRC team is to foster a group of well-developed and trained individuals with the ability to support public health needs in the community and be prepared to effectively respond to public health events and emergencies. MRC volunteers also promote preparedness in their communities to improve everyday health, reducing potential public health risks and vulnerabilities.
