COVID-19 Vaccine Update

On September 11, 2023, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the use of the updated (monovalent) COVID-19 vaccines. These vaccines are formulated to more closely target currently circulating variants and provide better protection against serious consequences to COVID-19, including hospitalization and death. On September 12, 2023, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended the updated vaccine for people ages six months and older. These actions relate to the updated mRNA vaccines for 2023-2024 manufactured by Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech.

The updated (monovalent) COVID-19 vaccines are expected to be available soon. In the meantime, the existing bivalent vaccines are no longer authorized. No COVID-19 vaccines are available until the new, updated version becomes available.

Our current estimate is that we will have updated COVID-19 vaccines available the last week of September. We will share updates as we have them. Thank you for your patience!
