Procurement

The purpose for extendable contracts is to make available to other local units of government a competitively bid process that will assist in the reduction and duplication of preparing specifications, solicitations, and award of contracts. It is requested that the supplier extended to members the same pricing, terms, and conditions.

Most solicitations state the following:

Extension of Award – (The awarded vendor) will extend to other Livingston County Departments, other Local Units of government within Livingston County, and the MITN Cooperative, the opportunity to piggyback off of this contract for the same pricing, terms and conditions.

Each individual participating member will place their own orders and be responsible for paying their own invoices.
