Sign up for July Household Hazardous Waste Event Now Open

Sign up for July Event opens on June 3rd. Sign up below. If event is full, try back again as spots will be added weekly until the week before the event.
Future sign ups will be opened a minimum of a month before the event. Additional HHW Event Date will be September 21, 2024.

This valuable public program is supported by the Livingston County Board of Commissioners and the Livingston County Drain Commissioner’s Office and staff. With additional support and cooperation from our Townships, we are able to offer battery collection sites, notification of events, and participation from staff and volunteers.

  • Free for residents of Livingston County!
  • An appointment is required and space is limited. To be able to accommodate as many households as possible, please limit your sign up to one event. If signup is full, please check back every few days in case an appointment opens up.
  • Only bring items to collection locations on appointed days at your scheduled time.
  • All household hazardous waste is removed by a vendor on the collection days. We do not have space to store items.

Waste Collection for Businesses & Organizations

EPA and State regulations do not allow businesses (including governments, schools and religious organizations) to use the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events. Businesses must properly dispose of all hazardous materials generated. Visit the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s website for more information.
