The Livingston County Clerk’s Office issues Veteran Identification cards. Visit our Office to get your card.

You Must Bring:
  • Military Discharge Papers (DD-214 or its official replacement)
  • Photo Identification (such as Michigan Driver’s license or state ID card)
  • $10 fee

Many businesses offer Veterans a discount as a way to express gratitude for their service to our country. However, the Veteran must be able to show proof of their service. Veterans are given military discharge certificates, or “DD-214” forms.

To create a Veteran ID, the Clerk’s staff will take the Veteran’s photograph and obtain their electronic signature. The Veteran photo identification card is available to Livingston County residents only and is the same size as the driver’s license or state ID card.

  • For information regarding the Veteran’s Identification card, please contact our Office at (517) 546-0500.
  • For assistance in replacing your lost DD-214, contact Livingston County Veteran Services at (517) 546-6338.
