Order Certified Copies Online
Order certified copies of Livingston County birth records online. Orders are processed daily and sent via USPS First Class Mail. Birth Certificates will only be mailed to the address included on the valid government issued identification that will be uploaded with the online order.
Requesting Certified Copies
Photo Identification Requirements
Requesting a certified birth certificate less than 100 years old requires government issued photo identification. To protect you from identity theft, we require a copy of valid government photo identification, such as a driver’s license, state ID or passport.
In Person
Birth Certificate requests received in-person are provided the same day at the time of request.
What You Will Need:
- Valid government issued driver’s license, state ID or passport
- Completed Birth Certificate Request Form
- Payment in cash, check or credit card*

By Mail
Please Include The Following:
- Completed Birth Certificate Request Form
- Photocopy of the front and back of your current valid government issued driver’s license or state ID identification
- Payment of check or money order
- Self-addressed postage paid envelope
Requests submitted by mail are processed within three business days. You should receive your copy(s) in 7-10 business days via USPS First Class Mail. Birth Certificates will only be mailed to the address included on the valid government issued identification. We do not guarantee a delivery time.

Certified Copy Fees
A certified copy is $25.00. Additional copies of the same record ordered at the same time are $10.00 each.
Senior Discount
People age 65 years of age or older will be charged a reduced fee of $14.00 for a search and a certified copy of their birth record.
